Gun Control Solutions in the United States

• Ban large sized magazines.
• Withhold state funding for incomplete reporting to the NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) or inadequate privacy protections.
• More rapid and reliable background checks.
• Close the gun show loophole.

These are a few possible solutions to fix gun violence in the United States, many of these are not very hard to get fixed and could greatly impact the lives of people in the United States. The gun show loophole may be the biggest issue, because many times guns are sold without background checks being conducted, which means someone may get a firearm who should not have it.

Another possible solution is creating a system similar to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) for gun control. This may allow for gun owners to hold a license for the weapon, and allows for police to know where and who owns the firearm if it is used illegally. People who wish to own a gun license would have to take a test on gun safety but also on their psychiatric state, and once they receive the license it will have to be renewed almost similarly to a drivers license.

The United States has many issues that need to be solved and have been left untouched for years. Gun violence is an important issue, because it is sickening to hear of mass shootings occurring no matter where in the world but especially in the United States. There are laws and regulations that could be put in place that would not infringe upon peoples rights, and keep the population safe, from those who should not own a firearm.
